A Vermont Non-Profit Therapy Center Dedicated to Emotional and Mental Health for Children, Teens, Families and Individuals 

Hannah’s House, Inc. is a nonprofit therapy center with locations in Waitsfield and Waterbury, Vermont. Founded in 2010 to honor the memory of Hannah Bedford, Hannah’s House supports emotional health for children, adolescents and families by providing local, high quality counseling, community outreach through education and alternative therapies including neurofeedback brain training for anxiety based disorders.

Our Team

Nicole KrotingerNicole Krotinger, LCMHC

Nicole specializes in counseling children, adolescents, young adults and families. Her practice incorporates narrative, play and family systems therapies which differ from the more traditional practice which separates the individual from the family unit. As our founding therapist, Nicole has been an inspiring leader in the formation of Hannah’s House.

 

 

Melissa G. KoehlerMelissa G. Koehler,LCMHC, NCC

Melissa brings extensive experience working with adults, adolescents, families, and groups to Hannah’s House. She has worked in community mental health agencies, residential settings, schools, and homes across Franklin, Grand Isle, Chittenden and now Washington County. Melissa has developed a well received, weekly program for Harwood Union.

 

 

Gary Frankel, LICSWGary Frankel, LICSW

Gary has just joined Hannah’s House as an affiliate working with adolescents, young adults and families that are experiencing anxiety, depression, substance abuse and identity issues. Gary has worked as a social worker and mental health counselor for over 15 years, holds a Vermont State License for Clinical Social Work, and is on the path to becoming a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC).

 

 Barbara Christie-GarvinBarbara Christie-Garvin, Executive Director

Barbara joined Hannah’s House in 2013 to assist our growth as a community resource as a part time Executive Director. Barbara brings over 30 years of non-profit and strategic planning experience. Her goal is to develop stronger partnerships with local schools, practitioners and organizations so Hannah’s House can better respond to the needs of our community.
